Spicy Peas Calzones



A calzone is an Italian oven-baked folded pizza. A typical calzone is made with the filling of meat or cheese. Here's one with spicy peas filling. 
Ingredients
For the filling-
2 cups fresh peas
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
3-4 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tsp cumin seed powder
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For the Pocket-
1 packet Pilsbury Tawa Pizza Base Mix
milk
black sesame seeds

Heat oil and fry the onions til golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a min. Add in the dry spices and green chili and fry for 30 sec.
Add pea and cook covered for 5 mins. Add salt.

Mash the peas to break them into half. Add fresh coriander and keep aside to cool.
Prepare the dough as per the instructions on the packet. Divide into 4 portions
Roll out into discs of 8" diameter. Place filling on half the disc. fold over the dough and seal the edges by applying water along the edges.
Further seal the edges by crimping with a fork.


Brush with some milk and sprinkle sesame seeds.

Bake in the microwave on a greased trey for 30 mins. Turn over the calzones after 20 mins to crisp up the under side.

Enjoy as with carrot slaw and fresh coriander chutney!!
